30 Years Later And Still Blacks Can’t Get Respected

I’m not afraid of no ghosts…

But I’m afraid of feminists and racists…

The new Ghostbusters movie has nothing inspiring or exciting from the first one 30 years ago, where Dan Akroyd, Bill Murray, Harold Remis and Ernie Hudson made us laughs ’till we cried as three scientists and a street smart chasing ghosts in New York city.

Now, this is another era where feminism is growing at a amazing feat and created this snafu of a disaster. Where this time three scientists and one street smart join forces to capture and eliminate ghosts in NY. Here’s what doesn’t feel right about this disaster… instead of putting a woman of color as a scientist, they repeated the same current role as a street smart woman, who sadly don’t know nothing about science and instead uses her wit as a comical relief. And don’t get me started with this character. While the three actresses Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig and Kate McKinnon are very feminine, the character played by Leslie Jones looks nothing but and that’s what it pissed me of the most. But not only that, although the classic Ghostbusters movie where the producers scrapped the role of a Air Force Captain for Ernie Hudson and replaced it with an unemployed black man. It’s not different than a woman who works at a MTA with no college education. It seems to me that, these white producers and directors want to please the feminist movement and ignore the Black Community with dismal results. And black actresses and actors have to fight over who gets the most denigrated role. Leslie Jones shouldn’t accept this role, if she had pride and move to other roles that inspire African-American women that would be an extraordinary idea. But in the meantime… she have to deal with being a worker with no degree in a dead end job. Just like other actresses and actors of color that opted to be a gansta, or a slave or a single mother or a mistress.

It’s unfortunate that instead of leaving the legacy alone, they just have to screw it up just like they did with the reboot of Mad Max. What’s more denigrating is Leslie Jones defending a movie that has nothing positive about Black women because that’s where the big bucks go…
