This Is A Day To Remember


America is Independent…

Not only your ancestors came to this unknown soil because they’re literary tired of the so-called monarchy when kings and queens made citizen’s life a living hell, but also made them clear what type of government they want in order to be fair to all. That’s why this term “We the People” was part of it.

“We the People of the United States, in Order to
form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic
Tranquility, provide for the common defense
, promote
the general Welfare
, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves
and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the
United States of America.

This constitution was a bible to how to form different departments, how to rule with fair and justice and how they could aspire to gain that position among other issues from the Congress, to the Senate to even how to live as a President.

Many people doesn’t read the whole constitution in order to understand their forefathers reasons why it has to be this way. They just carry around Flags while many soldiers who just want money for college dies because their love for this country has been replaced to the love of getting a better education. And the rest who stays here, are dealing with the usual of deciding between paying for Gasoline or paying for their medicines or food, battling with their losses from natural disasters to financial catastrophes leaving a huge amount of our citizens in the streets. Where’s the prosperity in that?

This is a day to remember when the people asked their government for welfare for their families and themselves in the past and got what they wanted. But today people are struggling (once again) to get their benefits funded by their government approved and in many cases sick patients die because of the lack of compassion by the government and many who don’t need it, are abusing it. Where’s the Welfare?

Many have fought to speak their opinions no matter what’s the consequences. In the past there were men and women driven by their convictions and beliefs who proclaimed their injustices that sometimes this government had been put them through, from allowing the women’s right to vote to civil rights to even against the war in Vietnam. Today, it’s not the same when a young student had been tazered because of saying the truth in a auditorium, a handful of hundreds in a peaceful anti-war demostration had been wrongfully arrested and being attacked with pepper spray, and a massive group of inmigrants who demanded that the government will respect their heritage are being shot with rubber bullets and hitting them with what the police have in their hands. Where’s the Blessing of Liberty?

Let me get this clear. I who was born and raised in Puerto Rico and came to this country two months after 9/11 knows what’s really going on than people who were living all their life and still are blind. The 4th of July isn’t about Firecrackers while eating burgers made on the BBQ Grill and watching fireworks, it’s about men and women who died not only in warfares but on proclaiming their beliefs of freedom (the true freedom) and in the end they’re just forgotten.

Don’t Forget them, without them, this country will be like Cuba or Haiti.
